Prorectorate Research
The "Prorectorate Research" forms a transdisciplinary institution within the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design; it is a gateway between art and culture, economy as well as technology.
The Digital Archives research group at HfG | Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design is based within the "Prorectorate Research". Its workload is defined for the most part by projects financed by third parties relating to research, co-operative ventures and the supply of services. In addition to focusing on particular content, as determined by the projects themselves, the research group has developed specialist expertise in sustainable approaches to a unique range of digital artifacts as well as to various formats and conservatory requirements.

Digital archives // this division collects relevant experiences using digital media archives in the context of art and culture, amongst others with the two major EU-projects OASIS and GAMA. Additionally, various media art- and artist archives are under construction.
