ARC - Artistic Research Catalogue
ARC | Artistic Research Catalogue is a project financed by RAAK International | Regional Attention and Action for Knowledge circulation and SIA | Stichting Innovatie Alliantie, the purpose of which is to develop a new format for the documentation and publication of artistic research. In addition to creating a specialized database for gathering the often transitory research of artists, the development of a user friendly interface is intended to contribute to the profiling and full understanding, not only of the results of artistic research but also of the very process that led to its inception. This process is of particular interest, not just from the point of view of method, but also because it draws attention to the central conflict between artistic creativity and formalization. The documentation platform should facilitate the systematic collection and retrieval of documents and, midterm, the referencing of related artworks.
