GAMA - Gateway to Archives of Media Art

GAMA is an EU project, in which a major European media art archive was made available to the public via a multi-institutional internet platform. In addition to the integration of a search facility enabling the collections of all partners to be researched as if they constituted a single collection, the content was thematically processed, creating added value for laymen as well as for scholars, artists and cultural institutions. Indeed, a distinctive feature is the accessibility of content across networks, which is underpinned by the archive’s multilingual functions and user friendliness. GAMA is the official project following on from OASIS (see below).
