Sports Archive
The cooperative project concerning Karlsruhe’s digital Sport Archive is the first to be implemented by Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design together with the City of Karlruhe’s public archive. One of the most recent additions to the public archive, the Sport Archive began to be systematically developed in 2004 in connection with the exhibition ‘Sport in Karlsruhe’. It contains ca. 13 000 digitalized records documenting the club history of 220 sports clubs in Karlsruhe.
For the purposes of preserving and retrieving the digitalized content, a database structure was developed that will be made available to the public via an online interface. The scholarly review of the archive continues.
